Roof area, pitch, access and the number of valleys, walls and penetrations affect the materials and labor involved. The floor area of your home is not the same as the roof area. A quote based only on the size of the house can miss important work.
What to look for in your replacement quote
Ask for a written scope that makes these items clear:
- The roofing product and installation components being proposed.
- Tear-off, disposal and protection of the property.
- Decking repair pricing and how additional work will be approved.
- Underlayment, edges, valleys, ventilation and flashing.
- Cleanup, payment terms and applicable written warranty terms.
Insurance declined the replacement. What now?
You can request a quote for directly funded work without asking us to handle the claim. We’ll discuss your roof, your priorities and practical material options. If a repair is appropriate, we’ll discuss that too. We do not manage or negotiate insurance claims.

We can discuss the factors that affect cost, but a project-specific quote requires enough information about the roof and the work. A site assessment may be needed.
Is the cheapest quote always the best value?
Compare the included work before comparing the total. Ask about decking, flashing, ventilation and cleanup, plus how changes will be approved.
